ERTELALSOP XL SERIES MEDIA NOW AVAILABLE WITH CELPURE® DIATOMACEOUS EARTH

Kingston, NY, February 1, 2003-ErtelAlsop depth filter media is now available impregnated with Celpure®, a high purity Diatomaceous Earth, designed for use in critical applications. This combination provides enhanced particulate retention and product throughput over standard grades of filter media for a variety of applications.

Applications include Blood Fractionation, Sera, Cell Culture Media, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, Large Volume Parenterals, Small Volume Parenterals, Distilled Beverages, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Flavors, Cosmetics, and Fragrances.

The use of Celpure® Diatomaceous Earth in the manufacture of XL Series Media provides superior quality, increased particle retention, product throughput and lower extractable levels when compared with standard “food-grade” DE. Traditional DE quality standards were based upon the beverage industry, where problems often surfaced with regard to compendial standards, purity, manufacturing and process control.
